Freshworks builds good software and prices its entry tiers aggressively. The difference is what happens when one person needs more than one product. Every figure below comes from Freshworks' own pricing pages, checked 8 August 2026.
If all you need is a CRM, Freshsales Growth at US$9 per user per month is less than half our Starter tier, and it is a capable product — buy it. If your priority is a deep, specialised helpdesk, Freshdesk has years of feature work behind it that we do not match. And Freshworks you can buy this afternoon on a free trial; KaryaFlow is in private preview with no published customer base. Those are good reasons to choose them.
| Dimension | KaryaFlow | Freshworks | Edge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entry CRM price | US$20 per user / month (Starter) | US$9 per user / month (Freshsales Growth, billed annually) | Favours Freshworks |
| Sales + support for one person | One licence covers both | Two products: Freshsales US$9 + Freshdesk US$19 = about US$28 / month at Growth | Favours KaryaFlow |
| Same, at the Pro tier | US$99 per user / month covers nine functions | Freshsales Pro US$39 + Freshdesk Pro US$55 = about US$94 / month, for two functions | Favours KaryaFlow |
| Omnichannel support suite | Included | Freshdesk Omni from US$29 per agent / month — support channels only, no CRM or sales | Favours KaryaFlow |
| AI cost model | Agent runs included in the plan | 500 Freddy sessions included, then US$49 per 100 sessions. Freddy AI Copilot is US$29 per agent / month extra. | Favours KaryaFlow |
| Helpdesk depth | Unified inbox, routing, SLAs | A mature, specialised helpdesk with years of feature depth | Favours Freshworks |
| Can you buy it today? | Private preview, access by request | Yes — free trials on every product | Favours Freshworks |
Freshsales and Freshdesk are separate products with separate subscriptions. That is fine when the two jobs are done by two different teams. It gets expensive when the same person does both — a founder, an ops lead, a five-person team where everyone touches everything.
At the Growth tier that person costs US$9 for Freshsales plus US$19 for Freshdesk, so about US$28 per month for two functions. At Pro it is US$39 plus US$55, about US$94 per month — still two functions. KaryaFlow Growth is US$99 and covers nine.
To be precise about it: this only stacks when the same human needs both products. A support agent who never opens the CRM needs one licence, not two. Count the people who genuinely straddle functions — in most small companies that number is higher than you expect, and it is the number that decides which model is cheaper.
One more thing worth knowing: Freshdesk Omni, the omnichannel support suite, starts at US$29 per agent per month and bundles support channels only. It does not include CRM or sales, so it is not the “everything” plan the name can suggest.
Freshworks includes 500 Freddy AI Agent sessions on paid plans and then charges US$49 per 100 sessions. Freddy AI Copilot is a separate add-on at US$29 per agent per month on annual billing.
That is a defensible model — you pay for what you use, and light users pay little. But it means your AI bill moves with your ticket volume, which is exactly when budgets are least flexible. Work out what 3,000 sessions a month costs before you commit, not after.
KaryaFlow includes agent runs in the plan price. We would rather you adopt agents aggressively than ration them, and metering discourages exactly that. Ask us about fair-use limits directly — every vendor has them, including us.
